Thirty-First Sunday in Ordinary Time, Year B

In this week’s Gospel we encounter Jesus being questioned by a scribe, who asks Him, “Which is the first of all commandments?” This moment is crucial because it highlights the core of Jesus’ teaching and the essences of Christian life: love. Jesus replies by quoting two commandments – first, to love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and second, to love your neighbour as yourself.
