Fifth Sunday of Easter, Year B

This week’s Gospel reading from John begins with Jesus saying to his disciples “I am the true vine, and my Father in the gardener.” This image is a beautiful way for us to understand the relationship between Jesus, God, and us. Just as a vine needs its branches to produce fruit, we need Jesus to grow and thrive in our faith.
