SUMMARY:
A late night previews a lazy day,
as dreary eyes awaken dumbfounded,
by the morning sun’s haze.
Gathering in his name are but a few,
But only two are needed,
To make his presence true.
Hibernating yesterday’s fun,
A stumble out of bed.
A chance of a shower,
The cold water you dread.
Wiping dust from their eyes,
They fall in line.
A bowl? A spoon?
Corn flakes will do fine!
The breakfast line this must be,
Caffeine used to stoke the machine.
To preserve their minds throughout the day,
Enlighten by the morning prayer by ‘Chicken Buffet’.
Symbols centred to focus a room,
To reflect, to ponder,
To holster minds,
Left to wonder.
A man, a gift,
the poor denied,
Christ found in all,
Dimensions subside.
Given shoes to run,
Or to start again,
The choice is our
God’s love will never end… Fr Smithers.
Groups dispersed,
To read and reflect.
The prayers of the morning,
And Fr Paul’s intellect.
A Rabbi’s tale
when then discussed.
A legacy left…
Jesus lives within us.
Bernard and Lauren arrive as Jordan rocks at the limbo………
As the lunch siren sounded,
We all got up,
Eager to fill our bellies,
5kg of mince not enough.
Free time announce,
Shouts of glea,
The pool? Singing or cards?
Which one would it be?
Back to our groups,
With some boxes to paint,
Colours of yellow, green and brown,
Gods image through us we celebrate.
Brights and darks,
Reds and blues.
To symbolise the almighty,
what structures to chose?
Dinner was grand,
Dinner was great,
With a traditional aussie barbeque,
God’s gift of food, On’ya mate!
In silent reflections,
Our heart opened up,
To the joys of redemption,
Forgiveness and love!
Our friends, our mentors,
Our faith set us free.
Pushing away the rain of sin,
God’s love we clearly see.
Crying eyes,
turned to the joys of laughter.
Support and nourishment found,
Within the arms another.
With a curfew put aside,
We now existed in our time.
To laugh, sing or slap about,
Until exhausted our beds, we could not do without.
